Apará exports the first ever container with coffee grown only by brazilian Afro-descendant familiesby Apará Cafés Especiais
Apará is proud to announce the export of the first Brazilian Afrodescendants coffee container from Campo das Vertentes region. This is the result of our partnership with BD Imports and RGC Company. Phyllis Johnson, founder and president of BD Imports, has recently created the Coffee Coalition for Race Equality, an association committed to building a racially diverse and equitable coffee industry. The coffee from two families will be distributed in North America under the name 132 Collection. At the same time, the book “The Triumph – Black Brazilians in Coffee”, that tells the history of the project and the Peixoto and Romão’s Family, was launched.
The book is available at the BD Imports website: www.bdimports.com
